Fall Lantern Walk
Help us design the BRCM Community Mural on the playground side of our future museum. In collaboration with local muralist, Chicho Lorenzo, we are inviting children in the Staunton/Augusta/Waynesboro communities to come and contribute artistically to the fourth and final wall on the Natural Playground side of the building.
From Chicho: "This mural is about collaboration without borders, like it happens in nature when spring comes and different bugs fly, climb, and pollinate the flowers. Bees, wasps, beetles, moths, flies… all are important in the process of keeping life. Children can choose to be either a flower or a bug or bird, and portray themselves drawing on a paper. You can be realistic or simple, colorful or black and white, full of energy or placidly asleep. Drawings will be painted as you created them, in the same giant garden to celebrate together our differences.”
